Since I starting writing on the blog my love for sports writing has sparked back up. With all of the lackluster coverage of Morehead State basketball I m
seriously thinking about asking the Morehead News if I could become a beat writer for the basketball team. I was a sports writer my last three years of high
school and my first year of college before I got burned out. What would you guys think about having a beat writer?

The Morehead News would probably love to have you, I know when I coached little league baseball and basketball, we pretty much had to give them the stories.
I know it is hard for one news reporter to cover all events. Morehead needs someone to cover the MSU sports. All the paper does now is to take
whats on the MSU web-site and reprint. It's not much reading when you have already read it on the web-site and see it again in the paper. If you decide to
do this, there is also a new paper that is handed out in the Owingsville area and distributed here also for free.

I know the folks at The Morehead News Sports Department, and I am pretty sure they would love anything you submit to them, especially MSU sports. They are
struggling to fill space.
While you're at it, I would see if they would publish anything in the Olive Hill and Grayson papers, since they are owned by the same group. (The West Liberty paper might be, too, but idk) This is an EXCELLENT IDEA. Keep us posted. |

I've talked to the Morehead News reporter. She said that she is all for it that she needs the help because she can not be everywhere at once. So right now
things are looking good.
