I don't know if people realize just how good a recruiting class Morehead has landed. It's tremendous!
EaglePhil, you are close to Morehead athletics. What is going on as far as football is concerned? The talk is that Ballard and his staff have really been "getting after it" on the recruiting trail. |

I don't know man. Maybe they want to win more. I know little or nothing about the out of state players, but the in state guys we brought in this class are
very good. Last seasons class was pretty strong as well. I know they're taking fewer guys now than the 40-50 they used to take every class in an effort to
help the APR score of the team. Maybe since they have less room for error now, they're making sure that the guys they bring in now are guys who are going
to make it in terms of their talent level. Whatever they're doing, I hope they continue to bring in the caliber of players they're getting now.

I hope Ballard gets to comment on his recruiting class. I would like to know more about them. Their are two or three kids that I have saw play that are very
highly thought of and were highly recruited. The Campbell kid, talent wise, can play for alot of people. Big, strong and fast and physically ready now. Lewis
got a late push from Louisville when one of their QB's transferred but from all accounts, never waivered his pledge to MSU. A kid to watch out for is Jason
Rider. Great hands and tremendous route runner.
I also have heard good things about the Downey kid. I am going to call some contacts to try to find out more about some of these players and will post ASAP. One other thing, it looks as if Greer might be heading to EKU for baseball. Hopefully not! |
